My little princess

Genevieve has been doing super well in school, she is getting almost all 3's on her work. She is onto Second Grade Sight Words. She LOVES school. She tries super hard. She barely needs help with her homework and if she does need help it is simple to help her understand.

This week she ran into the back of someone's head during Gym and one of her top teeth got knocked loose and the gums were really bruised. She couldn't even eat. Daddy got her an appt at the dentist and the dentist pulled the tooth out. Which has helped a ton! She did get a dizzy spell from not eating and her face turned white and she fell to the floor in front of the gate in the kitchen, but after Daddy gave her some juice she was all better.

She is very helpful around the house. She dusts, put dishes in the dishwasher, unloads dishes, helps vacuum, helps change Rowan's diaper, reads to Rowan and anything else she can do. She is a big girl for her age and it helps me out a lot.

She amazes me when she has a mean attitude or hurts people or is bossy. It is hard to see her be like that when I know she is such a sweet girl. And I don't know what I would do without her.

First grade

Because Because Genevieve started First Grade this week! She loves it! She loves her teacher and is having fun! I only get told that she does recess, lunch and then recess again. So far no homework! She has to read us a book this weekend but that's it so far! She is walking home alone since we live where I can sit on the porch and see her. She's only walked home fully on her own one day. The first day the teacher wanted to double check where she is supposed to go. The second day she didn't know what to do so I ended up walking over there. The third day she did it all on her own. Friday she took too long so I was by the crossing guards and she was mad she didn't get to walk home alone. I got attitude and everything! She said she had wanted to stay at school for awhile and then she was trying to tie her shoes. I explained to her she has to come home right away instead of hanging around. 

She has been making her own lunch! She doesn't eat it all and I assume it's because she talks too much. Which is fine she comes home and finished it after school as her snack. 

She is such a big girl. It makes me really sad that she is so big. She does so much on her own! She vacuums her own room, bathes herself, Ames her lunch, changes Rowan's diaper, and so much more! She's so amazing! I can't wait to see how far she gets this year! 

Teeth!!

Genevieve lost her first two, yes TWO, teeth! She had to go to the dentist because her grown up teeth came in behind her baby teeth and after a few weeks they were hurting. So the dentist looked at them and said she'd pull them out that day! So she lost them on Friday July 29,2016! She loved it! It didn't hurt her at all! And she got 10 dollars, all in ones, from the tooth fairy along with a letter and a certificate! She was one happy girl

It has been a fun summer! She has caught Pokemon, played at lots of parks, did learning stuff, VBS, and so much more! 

She is ready for first grade! Two more weeks and school starts! 

So much fun!

This week we have had fireworks, seen grandpa Dave and auntie Carolynn and went to water world! Last weekend we also went to Colorado Springs! Genevieve loved playing with her aunt and grandpa so much! They all seemed to enjoy the time together! 

At waterworld we got to ride a mummy ride and dinosaur tube ride and she says they were scary and not to ride them! She had fun running around all the kiddie areas! She even got to eat dip n dots as a snack before we left! 

She is doing really good on the homework we are doing at home! She is learning some new things but really picking it all up fast! She is getting a lot of sight words already! I am so glad she will be ahead of the game. 

We went to the springs and saw some friends of ours and had fun at the park. It was a long drive but so much fun. We even bought some fireworks on the way home which made the her super excited! 

She really loved lighting the fireworks we had and watching the city fireworks. She was loving seeing tha other people were setting off a lot of fireworks. 

One more month left till school starts. We have VBS this month, and of course just park time and whatever else we do. She's having fun and that's what matters. 

End of Kindergarten and Start of SUMMER

Genevieve finished Kindergarten knowing she was going into First Grade, she is super happy. She had a zoo field trip which her brothers and I were able to go on, she loved that. We also had field day which she did amazing on, when the parents did tug o war against the kindergarteners we won, BARELY. She had so much fun! She is ready to go into first grade already been though we have till August off.

SO far the summer hasn't been too interesting. We have been doing learning stuff every day so that she doesn't loose anything she has learned in the past year, I am also trying to teach her some new things so that she has a little head start on that. She loves doing this kind of thing. We have gone on some walks but it has been super hot lately so we haven't been able to do too much walking. We have gone to the park a few different times and she loves being crazy at the park. We also have been setting up the pool and the kids have been playing in that which they love to do for hours at a time. She loves to color and everything. We have a plant pot thing that we are going to paint and eventually put a plant in and she is super excited to do that.

Crazy smart girl

Genevieve Is really smart. She is progressing well in all her tests. She knows a lot of her words as long as she isn't being timed. When she is timed she is stressing herself out and not getting a lot of the ones she knows right. I don't know how to get past this but somehow we will. She loves going to school but I'm getting scared that soon she won't want to go because she just keeps getting knocked down it seems like. 

She has been acting crazy when playing. I have told her to calm down but it don't help. Well she fell and hit the corner of our table this week and got a good cut on her head. When I seen her she had blood on her hand and didn't know where it came from. So I started searching her and when I found it I freaked out. Her daddy had to cut a little bit of her hair and we took her to the dr because we thought she needed stitches and she didn't. They just cleaned it up and told us to make sure she didn't mess with it and that we just needed to let it heal and scab up. It was 2mm wife but not too deep. She didn't like us messing with it but she was brave and strong. 

She had crazy hair day at school recently and wanted "muffin" hair. So I did that for her hair and she was in love with it. It has been warm out so we've spent some time at the park recentl. She has loved going to play. And I love making them happy.
