She's not little anymore.....

Genevieve has really picked up on the fact that she is growing up and she does not want to be considered little anymore. There are days where I'm like where has my baby gone and days where I am grateful she has gotten big. She is doing amazing in helping out and doing stuff she needs to do by herself. She helps out with laundry and switching the clothes from the washer to dryer, she picks up her own room. She can open the door to the car and buckle herself in. She will get me anything I need and help her brother with stuff.

She is doing really good in school. She can say her name better and her speech is improving. Her speech problems are because of her not having control of her tongue. She has no muscle tone in her tongue so she does better if a tongue depressor is pushed down on her tongue. I have to find her a speech therapist outside of school to help her out, but just with the help in school she is doing really good. Her speech isn't something that stops her from talking, she still tries her best to get the adult to understand what is said and if she can't she will show them. She has no separation issues when I drop her off for school. She is actually really excited to go and usually asks me if she has school the next day.

This past summer she did vacation bible school at church. She had so much fun. She stayed with my mom during that week and she was just the happiest girl when I picked her up. She tells me all the time about Jesus and asks to sing the Jesus songs. She loves going down to the nursery at Church every Sunday and then finding Johnny for gum and Joann for candy afterwards.

She had an amazing birthday of course. Especially because Daddy was home for it :). She had so much fun opening presents and playing games. And of course CAKE lol.

When we moved into the new house she was all excited for her room. She can't stop talking about painting it purple and pink. I can't wait to put curtains instead of doors for her closet. And to get her a bigger bed and dresser and just decorate it more than we have.

She is pretty sad some days that she isn't getting a baby sister, but she does love the fact that she will have another little brother and be the only Princess of our house :). She loves talking to Rowan and asking him stuff and just making sure I am okay and he is okay. She got to feel him kick last night and honestly I don't know what she thought but I know she was happy because she has wanted to for awhile.

She got a Daddy daughter day recently with her Dad and she was the happiest girl about it. I think that is something that will happen more often. Her and I are also going to go out and do something small in the next few months.

Curious Mind

Genevieve has had a major attitude lately. She thinks she can boss Rylan around and be mean and not get in trouble. She tries to help me tell him what to do. I know she is getting older and wants to help but I also know she needs to learn who is the boss and who isn't. She has been doing a lot of pushing and hitting lately. She says Rylans superman is her babe.

Genevieve has overheard me and Daddy talk about having a baby after we got rid of the truck. So when we were talking about getting it gone last week she looked at us and said and then we have baby. And then we were following Daddy to get the truck gone and she said the babies carseat will go right here and she likes me and i like her and i will give her pinky promises. She really wants a girl. LOL. I know she will be a big help when we have a baby.

She loves going to church. One day this last week at dinner she held her hands together and told me we have to do this and I was confused and was like what and she was like we do this and say thank you. It made me proud. She also just told me moves of a song the other day and was singing yes jesus loves me. After church my cousin johnny, the pastor, gives out gum and so when I get her from downstairs she always says wheres johnny I have to get my gum. LOL.
