Stealing my heart

Genevieve can still steal my heart. Just because she is two and a half and sometimes drives me nuts don't mean anything. She is still my little girl, and some days I see a lot of her sperm donor in her, and it tears me up that he isn't around or anything. BUT there is nothing I can do about it, all I can be grateful about is the fact that she now has Mike as her Daddy and that she will always have him around. I am so glad that she is attached to him. Sometimes they go out just her and him, he has taken her for her hair cut 2 x so far!! Daddy leaving town though sets her back, she ends up being really mean to me and acts out some even when Daddy comes home, more than she was before he started leaving town. It is hard to deal with but it happens I guess. Sometimes the kids end up sleeping together in Gens bed which is so adorable. Genevieve was Minnie Mouse for Halloween and she was the cutest one I've ever seen, she went trick or treating with Grandma and Grandpa and loved it. She can say "I love you" which I love to hear. Her and Daddy still argue all the time, but it isn't so annoying anymore it is cuter than anything. I love watching them together and watching her worry about me or Ry. She will always have a part of my heart, just like any child should. I am so glad I am around to watch her grow on a daily basis, I wouldn't trade it for anything. She is a huge part of why I am trying to succeed in my life!!

Big girl

She is talking more and wanting to do so much more herself. It is nice to watch her grow, but I hate it too because then it means my baby is growing up. She is so independent if she can be. She wants to go everywhere with me or anyone that leaves. She loves to pick on Daddy. :) It is fun to watch them and remember that just a few months ago she wouldn't go up to him herself. Now we have no issues with that. There are still some things to work on but it is still early. She is becoming more mean which tests my limits and she has a big attitude. She loves to yell back at me or not listen. Very irritating, but a typical two year old.

2 years old

I cannot believe my little girl turned 2 a week ago. She weighs 24 pounds 8 ounces and is 33 inches tall. She has her 2 year molars to get and that is it for now. We had her last counseling session Tuesday, if I feel she needs to go back for some reason than she will. She has become more friendly and trusting with people. Genevieve stayed over at her Aunt Karla's a couple weeks ago and she did great!!! She loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She is OBSESSED with MINNIE lol. :) She absolutely has my heart and always will. She had a good 2nd birthday, she got some new toys and a Minnie cake. We still have her party coming up so that will be fun. She talked to her Father on her birthday. Her and I are going to start working on her ABCs and 123s and then potty training also. I know she can do it all so since I have the chance I am going to start working with her on it all!!

ATTITUDE

Genevieve has learned how to say SSSSSOOOO many words and how to back talk when she is mad. So cute but so aggravating. She loves to play with her baby, loves to give hugs and kisses, loves to go bye bye, loves to play, and watch Mickey mouse club house.

Sometimes she is ok with Mike other times she is like hell no. There are times that she will just go up to him and lay or sit with him and talk to him. Sometimes she gives him kisses and hugs. Sometimes she screams no at us when we touch and sometimes she screams when he touches her. But she is getting great. She calls him dada. She was looking at his picture on my phone the other day and told me dada bye bye. Was so cute.

Aquarium and new things

Genevieve has been learning so much when she watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It is great to watch her interact with it and learn. She learned cooko(sp?), she has learned "Pete", "Minnie". She learned the shape star at her last counseling session and she learned how to blow bubbles finally!! She calls my Mom Grandma finally instead of Mom.

Last Sunday, my new boyfriend took us to the Aquarium. She loved looking at the fishies. She was fun to chase but it was so amazing to watch how she noticed things and see her light up when she saw the fishies. :)

She is slowly warming up to Mike, sometimes she will go near him on her own, but mainly I have to be right there for her to go near him at all. She does not like him holding her, not yet anyways. But you can tell she likes him. She sleeps through the night when he comes over to hang out with us.

She is growing up so fast. In a month she will be 2, I am beginning to wonder where the time has gone and where my baby girl went. I am so glad to have her in my life though, I love watching her grow and learn new things. She is one amazing piece of work!!

Easter 2012

Well when I got home at 1:30am sunday morning from work my mom was playing the Easter bunny. She had everything out of my room for the kids and was doing the candy. I helped her by hiding the eggs.

When gen woke up Sunday morning she seen an egg and went ooooohhhh and grabbed it. It was the best thing in the world to see. She was able to find a lot of the eggs on her own. She loved everything that we got her too. :)

Terror child

Genevieve gets into everything. She is being mean with Rylan again and we are trying to teach her that she is hurting him. She loves her baby's so much. She will sing then to sleep and rock them. So cute :)

She has decided the past couple days that she needs an empty sippy to play with so that she can put stuff in it and dump stuff from another cup which makes a mess.

Dying eggs was fun because she was able to do more this time around. She liked it a lot.

Everything is "I do".

Bite mark

My poor baby got bit on Saturday by another little girl that was younger then her. The mom kept the girl near her afterwards but still has not said sorry or seen how gen was. Gen had a bracelet on and the little girl wanted it and was tryin to take it and gen pulled her arm back and got bit. :/

I took her to the dr today for it and they said to keep cleaning it and to do warm compresses. And we go back Friday morning and if it's not changed at all or worse then she gets antibiotics. Anytime she sees me grab the stuff to clean it she will start ruin until we are finished, makes me feel awful.

21 months

So Genevieve thinks that rylan should not be dirty when I'm feeding him baby food. She got a wipe after she gave me a dirty look bc he had a little around his mouth and on his chest and after every few bites she would wipe him off.
She's starting to pick up more words :) she has flash cards I bought her and she showed one to me this morning and she repeated me right away. Pretty soon she won't shut up at all.

She loves trying to be Rylans caretaker. She loves making him laugh. If she hears him cry and she's in another room she goes running. She knows how to pick her stuff up if you tell her to. She loves sweets

Sunday morning I woke up to her having put lip liner all over her and all over rylan. Then last night she had gotten ahold of the fabric paint and colored herself. She has a huge attitude sometimes. She will just tell you off and then she will be shaking her hands. :)

Terrible 2s

Are they over get? I feel like every day she gets worse and there's nothing I can do to fix it. She's just a brat. She don't listen. She says no. She does everything she shouldn't do. She throws things, hits, throws fits, kicks, screams everything. Getting her to sleep anymore is a huge chore that it shouldn't be. Sometimes it can take 3 hours before she's finally asleep. She's learned how to get her pull ups off. And how to take rylans diapers off also.

She has a cold. Loves to lay on her brother. But she has been very cuddly lately. :)

Uh oh

So my little princess has learned to open doors. She now will not stay in bed if she does not want to. She has learned to say, baby, cheese, bubba, baba, and sssshhhh. :)

Went to her ear dr and she is okay with her hearing and her right tube looks like it might come out soon. Have to go back in spring

She is looking so big and getting so smart and cute. I am so happy to have her.

Speech assessment

So Genevieve had her speech assessment this past week and they said she was fine for her age. They do want to see her in 4 months to make sure that she is still moving along.

The audiologist is worried about how she can't hear under 50 decibels. So when I go to the ear dr I got totalk to him abou all that and if he don't want to do anything then I'm suppose to call her back and she's going to refer us to someone else. :/ so my baby girl will probably have tubes again.

Counseling

So genevieves counseling has been going good. She is learning how to do the puzzle pieces and that she needs to wait her turn. She also is learning that throwing a fit isn't going to do her any good. The counselor thinks that a lot of it is her temperament and he needing to learn that she can't always get her way. So lots and lots and lots of practice.
The counseler also thinks that she does has a problem saying words but she does know how to show what she wants. So her referral is in for her speech so hopefully we will hear something soon.
