Spring Break

I kicked butt during Cookie Season, I sold 1,032 cookies! I did a lot of booths and got a lot of sales from Family and Friends. I appreciate all the help I got to sell cookies and I am excited to go to the Great Wolf Lodge this summer with my Brownie Troop and also go to an overnight camp by myself called Tri-wizard camp!

Recently Mom and I went on a shopping trip just by ourselves and I got to pick a new dress for myself, it was fun to go out and just look around with Mom. At school we had culture night and I did a presentation about 'Tennessee' it was okay, I didn't finish a lot of it for some reason. I also had decided to drag myself and Rowan through the mud so I had to walk us home to Dad and we didn't get to see Rylan's dances in person, but that's okay things happen.

Over Spring Break we went to a place called 'Color Me Mine' and I got to paint a baseball. I enjoy baseball. We also got to play at the park after that. And on Wednesday we went to another park and I got to play with my Best Friend! It was so much fun. The next day we went to the Zoo for a little bit and then I was upset that we had to leave early, so Mom bought us some ice cream to make up for it. The next day we went to Grandma's for a few days and that was fun. Her friend got stuff so that we could have a Easter Egg hunt, SUPER EARLY, for fun. Were back to the grind of school and scout stuff and seeing when we have free time for the fun stuff!

How is it 2019 already?

We have made it halfway through 3rd Grade, Genevieve is having to learn how to slow down on her work and pay more attention, but she's doing great. She is super helpful with a friend that needs some help, she is nice to everyone and considerate. Her teacher loves her because of who she is.

She has been busy with after school clubs and Girl Scouts. She did Stellar BaM (Bars and Mallets) a Girls on the Run club where she practiced running and did a 5k on Veteran's Day,  she was a student ambassador also. She enjoyed all of it. Now she is in camp Waterford which is a learning program to help kids who need a little boost, Stellar Singers and Clay and Fibers.

Right in the midst of it was Christmas. It was amazing. Dad worked on Christmas Day so the kids asked Santa to put their presents in the Garage and that we would bring them in when dad got home. Genevieve was the most patient.

Now she is on her way to hitting her goal selling Girl Scout Cookies. Her goal is 1,000 boxes of cookies. She is hoping to pay her way herself to go to the Great Wolf Lodge for a night with her Brownie Troop and a Tri-Wizard camp this summer! She is beyond excited and so far she has done amazing! I love watching her sell and how great she is. I know she will do amazing and we have a ton of supporters by our side to help her sell! It is great, but exhausting for sure.

She is still enjoying to lay in her bed and just read a book. She has been trying to do crafts on her own and usually succeeding at it. She loves to help me with Rowan or cleaning or cooking. She is the one that I can count on if I need help. She usually only fights majorly with Rylan so usually her and Rowan are playing together.

She is ready for the spring though because she wants to ride her bike again. We are all hopeful it will get warm soon and we will be able to be out more if we are not busy!

Summer 2018

Our Summer was filled with so much stuff. We got passes to Water World and went there a lot.I stayed with Grandma and Papa for 3 whole days. We had a big water fight on the day my Mom picked me up. We also did the 4th of July with Grandma and Papa which was nice. We did VBS at our Church and it was so much fun every day. We did a few walks. I learned to ride my bike. And we had the Adoption.I also got to go to two Girl Scouts Day Camps also.

At Water World we got to go on a lot more tube rides then ever. I rode the screaming mimi ride with just Rylan and by myself. It was fun to just go there for hours and play in the water. I love all the rides! And can ride most of them. There was one day that I only went with my cousin Jennifer, Mommy and Rylan. I also went one day with just Mommy so I could ride every single ride possible and it was so much fun to do.

When I was with Grandma and Papa I did a lot of playing outside. It was nice. I enjoyed the Water fight because I enjoy playing in the water. I loved watching the fireworks and getting to do sparklers. I got to play with kids that live in the same place she does so it was fun.

VBS is always fun. It is at night time so we have dinner at church and then do VBS. I learned a lot about God and met new friends.

The Adoption was the best day ever. I got to tell the Judge that I wanted to be a Miotto. I got to tell him that Daddy was my Dad. And I got to become a Miotto just like my brother, Mom and Dad. We had fun playing at the park after. Going to FatCats and doing everything we could there. Then we celebrated even more by going out to eat that night at Cinzetti's. It was the best day ever.

I love riding my bike. It is easy to do and fun. I am glad I learned how to ride my bike.

One of the day camps I went to I was at Barr Lake State Park and we got to do archery, hiking, and so much more. It was a fun week. The other day camp was at a church in Arvada and I got to do a lot of crafts, which suits me because I like to do crafts.

I am now in Third Grade. I have a lot of homework but enjoy it. I am in Stellar BaM, Girls on the Run, Clay and Fibers Club and might also be in Stellar Singers. It is going to be a fun year. I tried to get on student council but I didn't get picked, maybe next year. I also got a positive office referral within the first 8 days of school for helping others out without being asked to.

Spring Break

This time Genevieve is going to help me write her blog, so it will be done a little differently.

We packed up and left to South Dakota and got to the hotel super late Friday night. Saturday we went to Mount Rushmore, The Presidents Wax Museum, Crazy Horse Memorial and a drive thru Custer State Park. Sunday we drove to Rapid City and went to a restaurant, Dinosaur Park and the Reptile Gardens, then we drove home and again it was super late.

Mount Rushmore the first President was George Washington, and he was on the LEFT side. Abraham Lincoln was on the RIGHT side. We went to the Museum that tells all about the presidents and the people who built it. Also I got a pencil from the gift shop to do this workbook that a park ranger gave me. And I got a badge to become a Junior Park Ranger.

At the Wax Museum I got to stand in front of a podium like I was the President. I also listened about the different people that were made of wax in the museum. I got to watch a video about how the wax museum was made.

Crazy Horse is still not done because they want no state or federal funding. I learned that Crazy Horse died when he was 34. He had a short life. They use no explosives to do the rock formation on Crazy Horse. Also they drew a picture of the horse on the rock and they are gonna carve it out.

The drive thru Custer State Park was fun but long, I started feeling sick on it from all the turns. So that was not fun.

Reptile Gardens had lots of animals and there was two shows; one was a snake show, the other was a bird show. At the snake show I got to see a few different snacks, including a cobra. At the end I got to touch a snake and a baby crocodile. At the bird show I helped to feed a rooster, me and my brother rock, paper, scissors to decide who was going to be the helper. And I won. It felt weird when the rooster tried to eat of my hand, he pecked my hand and I dropped the food. I saw lots of cool birds and reptiles. It was a fun place to go.

Dinosaur Park was cool. It had big stairs and LOTS of dinosaurs. We walked to each of them and took a picture in front of them. And me and my brothers made a ROAR sound, it was like we were dinosaurs.

Monday we watched Pitch Perfect 3 as a family. It was GREAT.

Tuesday we went to Jump Street. I had fun jumping around with my brothers and my mom. I liked doing the obstacle course but it was hard.

Wednesday we went on a LONG walk, we got to play at TWO parks. In the end it was a 3 mile walk from the house and back. It was fun.

Thursday we dyed Easter eggs. I also looked at a list of Camps for Girl Scouts and picked two that I want to go to this Summer.

We still have to see the Easter Bunny and wait for him to come to our house. But Spring Break has been fun.

Girl Scouts and Good Student

Genevieve has been busy with Girl Scouts and school lately. She loves to watch Full House with me and enjoys watching shows she loves over and over again. She is doing great in school and coming home with amazing grades on her work, more amazing than I could of thought. She loves school and she really loves her teacher again this year.

Girl Scout Cookie season is finally over, she met and her goal of 500 boxes and sold more than that. She sold 694 boxes of cookies. She did amazing at booth sales and did her best. I think she did amazing for her first year. Her whole Troop sold just a little under 10,000 boxes so she is happy. She cannot wait for her patches and prizes of course! She is loving Girl Scouts.

At Boondocks she loved to run around and play the video games, laser tag and bowling. She beat all of us during both games of bowling so she was super happy about that. She never slows down it seems. I always see her running around trying to include everyone. It is the best thing to see.

Fall and winter

Genevieve is doing amazing in school as always. She almost always comes home and does her homework with little to no help at all. She enjoys reading on her own, especially a book series called "Owl Diaries". She is having no issues in school this year at all! It is awesome to see her progress so much and so well.

She got super sick around Halloween and was sick for like 12 days. I thought it was never going to end and felt so bad for her. We toughed through it though! She did lots of resting and lots of iPad/ tv time. And when I got sick or Rowan was sick she was so awesome in helping me out.

Christmas was a success. She really loved all the books she got and especially has loved her diary. Grandma got her some make up so she has been doing her make up more when she is allowed to.

She is in Girl Scouts and loving it. She missed out on a few events because of being sick or not feeling well but has enjoyed what she has been able to be around for. This will be her first year selling cookies and I am going to enjoy helping her succeed and learn from this. She is looking forward to it and determined!

Summer

This summer was filled with as much fun as could be had by us all in between sickness. She got to go to the Princess Ball with mom and grandma, she was dressed up as Cinderella with a tiara and she loved it. We did parks, and walks, tv and coloring. She loves to color. She loves to walk and help push the stroller. She got strep this summer for the first time and it was hard on her. She didn't eat for a few days. Once she got better though she was back to normal.

She has told us she is a big girl and doesn't need toys but big girl stuff now. She loves make up and dress up stuff. She loves crafts and helping to cook or bake. She is my helper and always has been. She's willing to get everyone breakfast if I allow her too.

She has become more into video games so she's played the DS this summer a lot. She loves pools and being outside so when the pool was up she was in heaven. She loved the Broomfield Bay because she could do everything without an adult since she's so tall.

She enjoyed doing Cheer over the summer and I am hoping we can get her into another cheer program next summer. We also want her to have swimming lessons. She wants a guitar, so hopefully we can get her one and get her lessons.

Anytime we did school work over the summer she made me proud and shocked me because some of it I didn't think she knew. She is a hard worker, she likes to write stories and has broken my heart over a story she wrote about her life. She was super happy to go back to school, and her teacher has already told me she's a joy to have in class and is always ready to learn, she skips into class and always has a smile. She even likes to help her classmates at school.

She has lost 6 teeth and has 4 big kid teeth! She loves when she looses teeth, but she don't like anyone helping pull them or pull them herself. She basically waits till they fall out.

Some days I look at her and I can't believe how big she is and how amazing she has turned out. She is a princess for sure.

Since everything went down with Zack she has talked about him a little, but she doesn't ever seem upset. She can't wait to become a Miotto once we can get the adoption done. She honestly thinks that's the best thing ever. And I can't wait for that dream to come true for our family.y
